She earned a degree in Chemistry at the  University of Pavia and  has been awarded  honorary degrees in Pharmacy and Medicine. The Order of Mertit of Labour (Italian knighthood) has been bestowed upon her. She is President and CEO of the Bracco Group, President Expo 2015 SpA and Commissioner General of Section for the Italian Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015. Diana Bracco is also Vice President for Research and Innovation of Confindustria, and serves as a board member for the following organizations:  the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Crafts of Milan, Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra Milan, Accademia Teatro alla Scala , University Bocconi and Museo Poldi Pezzoli.

During the Women’s Weeks, the President of Expo 2015 and General Commissioner of the Italian Pavilion will take to the women’s area in the heart of the Italian Pavilion to host the projects which have won the competitions designed to promote the talents and the ability of women to plan, design and do business in the run-up to Expo Milano 2015.
