FCA has long been committed to proposing a model of mobility that respects the planet through the gradual reduction of a vehicle’s environmental impact throughout its life cycle. In this way, mobility becomes a responsible journey that focuses not just on the where, but also on the how.
A total of 105 "eco-sustainable" cars having low emissions and alternative fuels are used by Expo Milano 2015.
Thirty-five used by the staff of Expo 2015 S.p.A. (ten Fiat 500L Living, four Fiat 500L Trekking and twenty-one methane-powered Fiat 500L Natural Power), fifty Fiat 500L Natural Power, which can also run on bio-methane, in used by the delegations from the exhibiting countries, ten electric Fiat 500e, for internal use around the exhibition area and ten executive vehicles for official use.
For Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, it’s a stimulating challenge: allowing people to enjoy freedom of movement, while respecting the environment and the community around them. Cutting-edge technologies that reduce car consumption and emissions when on the road, the use of alternative fuels, constant improvements in the efficiency of conventional engines, dedicated software designed to encourage an informed, environmentally-friendly driving style and the promotion of new mobility solutions, such as car-sharing, confirm the Group’s position as a responsible company with a focus on comprehensive sustainability.
For FCA, making the most advanced solutions available to everyone is a non-negotiable value, so that innovation can translate into concrete advantages for both the environment and its customers.
An example is the outdoor campaign created by FCA to welcome all the visitors to the event. Over 150 are the flags of all the guest Countries attending Expo Milano 2015, rethought and redesigned using images of the cars of the various brands - Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Jeep and Lancia - each with a different communication code in line with its own language and positioning.
An invitation to all nations taking part to discover the design, style and values of Italy by virtue of all the brands of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group which belong to the largest Italian family.
The Fiat brand is present inside the Expo exhibition space with a very special, environmentally sustainable, urban design project in line with the values of the event: planters, pots and benches have all been coated with a special paint which purifies the air. Thanks to Fiat, it is as if the plants in the flowerpots, belonging to the project “To make a Tree”, are able to "increase" their benefits by improving the air around them. The eight planters are also true artistic installations, created for Fiat directly by the designer Fabio Novembre, who has created a Fiat 500 to a scale of 1:1.
But this is not the only form of FCA's welcome. "The Milano EXPO Guide 2015
" is the official guide that lets visitors experience the city
during the six months of the event. Available for Android
and paper in public venues in Lombardy's capital city and in other major Italian cities.
The guide will be the perfect "tutor" to highlight the events organized by the various FCA brands, each of which will cover one area of the city, offering the public a series of activities in line with their own particular values: Alfa Romeo and Piazza San Babila, the heart of Milan; Fiat and the icons of Eataly and Triennale: Jeep and Piazza Gae Aulenti, the emblem of the city skyline; Lancia and Tortona area with its design and fashion. The "Milano Expo Guide 2015" can also be used to plan a tour of Italy based on the itineraries suggested by the brand to visit the country following different routes.
