At 51 days to the opening of the Universal Exposition, the official countdown can be seen on the clock display on via Luca Beltrami (in front of Expo Gate).
At 51 days to the beginning of Expo Milano 2015 - the official countdown has begun. Swatch, the Official Watch & TimeKeeper of the Universal Exposition, initiated the countdown with the symbolic number of 51, the number of components and movements in its "revolutionary" SISTEM51 watches. The official launch of the countdown took place at 18.30 on March 11 with Carlo Giordanetti , Swatch Creative Director, Laura Burdese , Country Manager, Swatch Group Italy, Giuseppe Sala , Commissioner of the Italian Government for Expo Milano 2015, and Filippa Lagerbäck , who is known for her interest in the themes of ecology, wellness and proper nutrition.
Swatch’s countdown can be seen on large, bright timer that is more than four meters in height, installed on Via Luca Beltrami (in the area in front of Expo Gate). After the start of the event, the timer will switch to mark the days until the end of the event. Formed by cubes in the official colors of Expo Milano 2015, and moving parts ( the Expo 2015 logo and the Swiss cross of Swatch), the timer display emphasizes the dynamic character of the brand.
The evening in Milan brilliantly reinforced the ideal and concrete integration between the flavors of Expo Milano 2015, dedicated to feeding the planet, and Swatch’s knowledge of innovation and design. The event included a preview of the Mediterranean Dolce Vita collection, four watches dedicated to food and the happy times shared around the table. On May 1, Swatch will launch a range of exclusive models for Expo Milano 2015.
Swatch will participate in Expo 2015 with an original Pop-Up Store, located in front of the China Pavilion.
