A new project, born out of a collaboration between Dassault Systèmes
and Samsung, Edutainment Partner
of Expo Milano 2015 , enriches the Universal Exposition visitor experience. After the Virtual Tour
, the online platform that allows a virtual visit to the city of Milan and to the pavilions along the Decumano, now there are also new virtual and augmented reality helmets to view in detail the some of the pavilions’ architecture and additional information on the history of the featured pavilion’s host. The experience becomes immersive thanks to a helmet with special lenses attached to a tablet. The visitor is launched into a 360 degree virtual world to be navigated with a very unique rudder: his or her own eyes.
Watch and learn! Interact with the 3D environment through your eyes
While wearing the virtual helmet, thanks to sensors in the device – the gyro and accelerometer - you can experience and explore the virtual environment in 360 degrees. Once immersed in the 3D environment the viewer sees icons, and looking at these icons triggers commands to access different spaces or for new content to appear, such as images and 3D reconstructions of a location. With the Oculus-Samsung GEAR VR helmet, visitors can time travel too: In front of the Tree of Life the sky passes from day to night and in the piazza in front of Milan’s Duomo, the early Christian basilica that preceded it, appears.
Expo Milano 2015 offers approximately 40 Oculus-Samsung GEAR VR helmets to entertain visitors in the lines in front of the Pavilions. Here's what can be seen:
TURKEY: IMMERSIVE PREVIEW OF EXPO ANTALYA 2016

Wearing the virtual reality glasses, you can fly over the exhibition site, which will be a large botanical garden, developed from the Antalya theme that will be flowers.
