Calabria is the world's largest producer of bergamots and the province of Reggio Calabria is its natural home. The project is a discovery trail about the bergamot and involves dedicated exhibitions and specialist knowledge meetings, together with cultural events in one of the most important sites of the ancient territory of Magna Grecia.

SPECIAL ITINERARIES FORMING PART OF THE INITIATIVE
City of Reggio Calabria itinerary: through the traces of ancient Greek and Roman city, the waterfront, the medieval castle, the church of the Ottimati, the Cathedral and the Art Nouveau buildings of the corso and finally to the city bergamot groves.
Grecanic area itinerary: discovery trail about the Ancient Greek territory of Calabria where the ancient Grecanic dialect can still be heard; Calabrian hospitality and culinary traditions based on authenticity and distinctive tastes.
 
 
HOW TO REACH US
By air: Tito Minniti Airport – ten minutes from the old town
By train: stations Reggio Calabria Centrale and Reggio Calabria Lido on the city waterfront
By car: A3 motorway from the north (Salerno-Reggio Calabria) or SS 106 Jonica main road from the south (Reggio Calabria-Taranto).
