The site www.expofacile.it
provides information, in Italian and English, for people with disabilities on public transport, hotels and restaurants, places to visit, events, and special services, for the city of Milan.
Expofacile is a service offered by Lombardy Regional Council and the Municipality of Milan, in cooperation with the leading local associations for people with disabilities and special needs.
In addition to information regarding access to public transport, special attention has been given to defining itineraries round the city to cover the leading sights, and enable everyone to enjoy the city’s treasures.
Mapping places accessible to people with disabilities
At the present time, the site www.Expofacile.it
includes information on some 200 hotels and restaurants in Milan, and their facilities for people with disabilities and special needs. Work is ongoing to cover museums, cinemas, theaters, and places of worship.
Information is collected by people with disabilities themselves, using the approach outlined and certified by the Italian association known as Village for All.
